Annual Plan 2011
Curious what Jong TNO has lined up for you this year? Check out our annual plan!
As a teaser, we’ll provide a few highlights here.
Involvement of all members
Most of our activities are organized in the west, which makes it difficult for our members in the east of the country to participate. We want to offer activities throughout the Netherlands, but to do that, we need volunteers throughout the country as well. So, if you have a great idea for an activity at your location, contact us and we’ll provide the means!
Internationalization
The amount of internationals in (Jong) TNO is rising. After switching our communication language to English last year, this year also several of our activities will be in English.
Transition events
You might have noticed TNO is going through some organizational changes the last few months. But what does this mean for our research? What projects will we be working on? And how do theme line and expertise line cooperate? Join us in casual conversation with theme directors, expertise managers and principal scientists in the informal surroundings of a bar. We will organize several of these events, each related to a specific theme. Don’t worry; this will not be just another information monologue, but a unique opportunity to engage in ‘multilogue’.

Voice Training
A message can be passed on more convincingly or with more warmth just by using your voice differently.
Find out how your voice can make a difference!
After the highly successful edition of this workshop in 2009, JongTNO proudly presents this workshop for the second time:
Find your voice!
Elizabeth Ebbink invites you all to be part in an experiment in which you can find your voice.
She will teach us more about voice techniques and will also teach us how to apply this in practical situations at the office.
How can you for instance be better heard in meetings with many people, how to start a presentation or to communicate effectively through the phone.
Elizabeth Ebbink is a psychologist as well as an opera singer. For many years she has also been using her experience in this field to coach and train people with their vocal communication. (www.elizabethebbink.nl)
